SWAG ON RINGS

Whether casual or formal, swags impart a look of timeless beauty. Simply put, swags are top treatments that are board mounted, placed in swag holders, wrapped around a pole or as shown here attached to rings and hung on a drapery rod. They're almost always paired with cascades or other side treatments, such as tied-back curtains or straight panels. Rosettes and jabots embellish swags. Since a successful swag depends on the fabric's draping qualities, make sure your fabric is soft enough to drape yet firm enough to forma dn retain folds. Avoid fabrics with obivous one-way patterns.
