Box Pleated Valance Contrast Gusseted
A box pleated valance (contrast gusseted) features inverted sections made of a separate fabric choice that creates a contrasting color or design behind the face pleats. The evenly spaced, inverted sections give this valance a sharp tailored look. The gusset can be spaced to allow the contrast to be more visible. While sizes of pleats and gussets will vary according to valance width, all intervals are evenly spaced and the same amount of fabric is used in the fullness behind each pleat. The hems and sides are pillow-cased.
Scallop Variation - Because the lining on scalloped box pleated valances is visible from the front, the valance should be self-lined or contrast lined. However, if inverted pleats are used, the lining is not visible and standard drapery lining can be used.
Be aware that banding at the hem of a box pleated valance could cause the pleat to billow out. Always try to use banding fabric that is lighter or of the same weight as the face fabric.

Measurement Tips
• Face Width – Measured from end of board to end of board. Do not include returns.
• Finished Length – Measured from the top of the mounting board to the bottom of the hem.
