| Jabots
A Jabot is the piece that joins two swag swoops on a swag and cascade style treatment. Jabots can be added to various styles of valances and are extremely versatile in style and design. Jabots are made with 1/2 to 3/4 widths of fabric. A jabot is usually self-lined or contrast-lined with a solid fabric. If you use a dark liner, it is recommended that an interlining be used to avoid discoloring of your face fabric. A jabot can be mounted over the top or under the swag face. A jabot is typically attached by staples to the valance board and finished with the dust cap cover. If required a jabot can be fabricated with a tab to allow it to be taken off the board for cleaning purpose.
