That’s right—we launched our online store way back in 1997, hand-quoting decorator fabrics by email (remember dial-up?). Meet David Tweeddale – Founder, Decorator, Blind-Installing Legend
The company was founded by David Tweeddale, an entrepreneur with over 50 years of experience in the interior decorating business. Check out some of our projects > He's the kind of guy who knows his way around a bolt of fabric *and* a business plan. Before the dot-com boom was even a whisper, David Tweeddale was making walls beautiful the old-school way—running a local wallpaper shop and designing custom artwork and window coverings for big names like Taco Bell and KFC (yes, those iconic fast-food interiors from the '90s). That eye for style—and a knack for saying “yes” to a challenge—eventually launched him into the wild world of online business, and InteriorMall.com/InteriorDecorating.com was born.
Now, decades later, David’s still out there doing what he loves—and doing it faster than people half his age. He’s known to install 300 blinds in an apartment complex in a single day, and then stick around to help answer questions about curtain rods, shutters, panel tracks, and every kind of window treatment under the sun.
Some say he has superhuman strength. Others say he just really, really likes blinds. Either way, if you’ve got a decorating question, David's probably got the answer—and the toolbelt.
