Unique variations and natural markings give Garrett's Distressed Leather historic, well-worn character. Average Hide Size: 48 square feet Weight: 2.75-3.0 ounces per square feet Thickness: 1.1-1.2 mm The above diagram should be used as a guide when determining square footage requirements for leather. Individual hides may vary in size, but most large cuts will require a full hide. For example, a 5" x 5" cut cannot be achieved from a 25 square foot half hide. One 54-inch fabric yard is equal to 18 square feet of leather. This equation takes into account the waste factor.
